people don’t want options. they want a leader.

every weak product i’ve ever seen had one thing in common:

it was terrified to choose.

it offered settings instead of defaults. preferences instead of principles. flexibility instead of taste.

but paradoxically most people don’t want flexibility (even though they say they do). they want conviction.
